Castello di Rivoli Hosts Female-Focused Historical Tours Highlighting Women's Contributions to the Savoy Residence

Castello di Rivoli is offering a series of guided historical tours with a female-centric theme, running on the second Sunday of each month from May 10 to September 6. These tours are tied to the exhibition "Regine in scena" at the Reggia della Venaria Reale, which is on view from April 17 to September 6. Each tour focuses on different historical women associated with the castle, starting with Margherita di Valois on May 10, followed by Maria Giovanna Battista di Savoia-Nemours on June 14, Anna Maria d’Orléans and Polissena d’Assia on July 12, and concluding with Anna Canalis and Maria Teresa on September 6. The tours explore the lives and impacts of these women over five centuries, set within the castle's three distinct decorative periods. Admission is free with a museum ticket, organized by the Servizio di Valorizzazione della Residenza Sabauda. The initiative aims to shed light on the often-overlooked female figures who shaped the castle's history.
