Calderón de la Barca: vida y escenarios lecture cycle at Fundación Juan March

The series, titled 'Calderón de la Barca: vida y escenarios,' will explore the author's life and theatrical work, from his early training to his successes in public playhouses and the scenic keys of his court theater and autos sacramentales. On October 6, 2026, Felipe B. Pedraza Jiménez, professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, will deliver 'El joven Calderón (1600-1630)' with a performance by Alex Gadea. On October 8, 2026, Ignacio Arellano, professor of Literature at the University of Navarra, will present 'El escenario cósmico de Calderón: fiestas sacramentales y palaciegas.' Attendance is by lottery for two-thirds of the capacity, with the rest available at the box office one hour before each event.
