Budjerah described his music as danceable and fun, with vocals being his secret ingredient. He cited gospel music, Beyoncé, and Rauw Alejandro as key influences, noting Alejandro's background resonated with his own indigenous roots. The title track 'Gentleman' was developed quickly after he received a demo, and he currently favors the romantic song 'Let Me Know' from the upcoming release.
