Anthropic Launches Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5 AI Models

Anthropic has just launched Claude Fable 5, a new AI model in the Mythos class, which excels in areas like software engineering, vision, knowledge work, and scientific research. They also rolled out Claude Mythos 5, a version specifically designed for cybersecurity partners without restrictions. Fable 5 is priced at $10 for every million input tokens and $50 for output tokens, making it much cheaper than the earlier Claude Mythos Preview. It comes with updated safety classifiers that revert to Opus 4.8 for sensitive topics, affecting less than 5% of sessions. Mythos 5, created with the US government as part of Project Glasswing, offers top-notch cybersecurity features. Early adopters like Stripe and GitHub have seen significant performance gains. Fable 5 can be accessed via the Claude API and subscription plans until June 22, after which credits will be needed. Anthropic also plans to expand access to Mythos 5 for biology researchers through a trusted access program.
