Alberto Peruzzo Donates World's Largest, Heaviest, and Most Expensive Art Book to Venice's Marciana Library

On April 9, the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in Venice will receive a monumental art volume titled 'Modern Art – Revolution and Painting' from the Alberto Peruzzo Foundation based in Padua. This impressive book, designed as an art piece, measures 70 x 100 centimeters and weighs 35 kilograms. It contains 544 pages lithographed in 25 colors, showcasing over 250 masterpieces from the 19th and 20th centuries. Hand-bound in birch and leather, the limited-edition work embodies Alberto Peruzzo's vision of a personal art collection. Established in 2015 in the renovated Church of Sant’Agnese, the foundation promotes contemporary art and Venetian heritage, housing works by notable 20th-century artists. The donation ceremony will feature Francesco Rucco, Vice President of the Veneto Regional Council, and President Roberto Ciambetti, who highlighted the significance of this gift for cultural institutions.
