€26M Investment Launches Mont'e Prama Cultural System Revamp

Over 26 million euros have been allocated to the 'Integrated System of Sinis – Great Project Mont'e Prama', a strategic program aimed at strengthening one of Sardinia's most important cultural and archaeological hubs. The investment targets infrastructure, research, training, and cultural promotion across key sites including the Museo Civico Giovanni Marongiu, the Mont'e Prama archaeological area, Tharros, the San Salvatore hypogeum, and the Torre di San Giovanni di Sinis. The project seeks to improve site accessibility, support research activities, and enhance the territory's image nationally and internationally. Funds will also create new educational and professional opportunities, notably a study center for archaeological heritage and cultural management. The initiative furthers the valorization of the Giants of Mont'e Prama, a nuragic sculpture complex that has boosted regional attractiveness and interest in Sardinian archaeology.
